During May 2025, contributed to the sam-goodwin/alchemy repository by delivering Lambda Layers support for the AWS Function resource. This work involved adding a new layers property to FunctionProps and integrating it with AWS Lambda configuration, enabling users to attach shared code and dependencies to their functions for improved modularity and code reuse. The implementation was carried out using TypeScript and leveraged skills in AWS, cloud computing, and infrastructure as code. The approach emphasized commit-based development and ensured end-to-end traceability, allowing for clear tracking of changes and facilitating more flexible deployment strategies for Lambda-based workloads. No bugs were fixed.
