During August 2025, Bmalik focused on stabilizing deployment tooling for the hortonworks/cloudbreak-images repository by updating the Jumpgate agent to the latest RPM. This work involved modifying both the Makefile and Dockerfile to ensure that image builds consistently pulled the current agent version, thereby improving reliability and security. Bmalik validated these changes to prevent regressions and maintain build integrity, aligning the update with the repository’s release process for smoother delivery. The project leveraged skills in build system management and containerization, utilizing Dockerfile and Makefile to address deployment variability and ensure the cloudbreak-images builds reflected the latest agent capabilities.
