During June 2025, work focused on enhancing the menloresearch/jan repository by implementing German language support within the LanguageSwitcher component. This involved extending the LANGUAGES array to include the de-DE locale, enabling German-speaking users to interact with the application in their native language. The approach leveraged front-end development skills and internationalization best practices, utilizing JavaScript and TypeScript to ensure seamless integration across the user interface. By improving localization readiness, the project is now better positioned for future expansion into additional markets, reducing onboarding friction for new users and supporting a scalable architecture for broader global adoption. No bugs were addressed.
