Worked on the gitlabhq/gitlab-runner repository to enhance the reliability of file traversal during continuous integration workflows. Addressed a bug by implementing a guard against nil FileInfo values in the filepath.Walk function, which prevented potential panics and improved the robustness of repository scans. Applied defensive programming techniques in Go, focusing on error handling within core backend paths to ensure greater system stability and maintainability. The work centered on backend development using Go, with an emphasis on strengthening error resilience in critical infrastructure. This contribution reduced runtime errors and supported smoother operation of large-scale CI pipelines without introducing new features.
