Worked on the factiverse/upptime repository to streamline and maintain monitoring configurations over a two-month period. Focused on configuration management and DevOps practices, the work involved cleaning up legacy uptime checks for DNB and Ollama, ensuring that deprecated services were properly removed from YAML-based monitoring files. Adjustments to the Elasticsearch cluster health check preserved existing uptime, response time, and alerting workflows, preventing configuration drift and maintaining service-level agreements. By aligning monitoring with updated governance models and reducing maintenance overhead, the changes improved long-term maintainability. The technical approach emphasized careful configuration updates and monitoring best practices using YAML and related tooling.
