During November 2025, DragonBluep contributed to the openwrt repository by implementing ALSA MIDI 2.0 and Universal MIDI Packet (UMP) support within the kernel sound subsystem. This work focused on enhancing MIDI device discovery and communication, enabling modern MIDI 2.0 devices to interoperate seamlessly with the ALSA audio stack. DragonBluep applied expertise in MIDI protocol, audio programming, and kernel development, using Makefile to manage build processes. The feature was delivered with attention to code quality, maintainability, and documentation, laying a foundation for future audio subsystem improvements. No major bugs were addressed, as the primary emphasis was on robust feature delivery.
