During July 2025, Bonifaido focused on configuration management within the lima-vm/lima repository, addressing a specific issue in the Oracle Linux 9 image template. By removing the obsolete legacyBIOS setting from the YAML configuration, Bonifaido eliminated unnecessary warning messages that appeared during VM provisioning on vz types. This targeted cleanup not only reduced configuration boilerplate but also improved maintainability for Oracle Linux 9 deployments. Leveraging skills in DevOps and YAML, Bonifaido’s work streamlined the image configuration process, resulting in a cleaner and more user-friendly provisioning experience. The contribution demonstrated attention to detail and a practical approach to technical debt.
