During December 2024, Botelho focused on optimizing image builds for the ublue-os/bluefin repository by reducing unnecessary dependencies. He improved the Bluefin image by removing the freeipa-client and sssd-ipa packages, which streamlined the build process and reduced the overall image footprint. This work involved careful dependency management and the use of shell scripting to ensure a clean and efficient image composition. By simplifying the image, Botelho enhanced maintainability and deployment speed without introducing new bugs. His efforts demonstrated skills in image building and system administration, contributing to a more agile and manageable build pipeline for the Bluefin project.
