Worked on enhancing customer data handling in the shopware/frontends repository by implementing support for Account Type and VAT ID within the changeProfile API. Focused on backend and API development using TypeScript, the work enabled the API client and backend to differentiate between private and business customer accounts and to store VAT IDs for business users. This addition improved data integrity and prepared the system for future VAT compliance requirements. The approach strengthened the API contract and data flow between frontend and backend, supporting business segmentation and regulatory needs while maintaining clear traceability through well-documented commits and feature tracking.
