During March 2025, Boyu Du focused on refining Kubernetes RBAC configurations in the fluent/fluent-operator repository. He addressed a permissions duplication issue by removing a redundant 'configmaps' entry from the cluster role, thereby aligning access controls with least-privilege principles. Working primarily with YAML and leveraging his DevOps and Kubernetes expertise, Boyu ensured the update improved auditability and reduced the risk of privilege drift within cluster operations. The change was validated through code review and careful commit tracking, resulting in a more accurate and maintainable RBAC configuration. This work demonstrated attention to security best practices and operational reliability in infrastructure management.
