Worked on the github/gh-gei repository to deliver 18 features and resolve 11 bugs over three months, focusing on backend and DevOps automation for GitHub Enterprise migrations. Developed and enhanced CLI tools in C# to support log retrieval by migration ID, cross-platform builds including macOS ARM64, and improved enterprise deployment flexibility. Applied .NET and Azure services to expand API integration, streamline release management, and standardize versioning practices. Strengthened CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, and PowerShell, while increasing test coverage with Xunit and integration testing. Improved documentation and release notes, reducing onboarding friction and accelerating safe, reliable migration workflows.
February 2026 focused on delivering and hardening Release 1.27.0 for gh-gei, with cross-platform enhancements and release hygiene improvements that deliver immediate business value. Key outcomes include macOS ARM64 build support for ADO2GH and BBS2GH, standardized versioning with a 'v' prefix in LATEST-VERSION.txt, and reorganization/renaming of release notes for clearer downstream documentation. The work also tightened commit hygiene and alignment across features, reducing onboarding friction for downstream teams and accelerating release cycles. Technologies demonstrated include cross-platform build engineering, release automation, versioning governance, and targeted command improvements in ADO2GH and BBS2GH.
