Worked on the gridstatus/gridstatus repository to address a compatibility issue affecting Ercot time interval calculations with newer pandas versions. Delivered a targeted bug fix by replacing the use of timedelta64[h] with integer-based deltas in the Ercot class, ensuring continued support for evolving pandas APIs. Added regression tests to safeguard against future compatibility issues and maintained adherence to project contribution guidelines through collaborative development. Utilized Python and pandas for data handling and type conversion, with a focus on robust unit testing. This work improved the reliability of Ercot time-series processing and reduced the risk of data pipeline errors for customers.
