Worked on the melix/native-build-tools repository to enhance the reliability of GraalVM version management within Java build tools. Focused on refining the regular expression logic used for parsing GraalVM version strings, the developer addressed parsing errors that previously led to compatibility issues across different GraalVM distributions. By improving the version check mechanism and expanding automated test coverage, they ensured that the build process could accurately handle more complex version strings and reduce false negatives. This work leveraged skills in Java, regular expressions, and build tool configuration, resulting in a more robust and resilient integration for diverse development environments.
