Worked on improving license metadata accuracy in the clearlydefined/curated-data repository by addressing a bug related to the diff-lcs gem. Focused on normalizing the 'declared' field and updating the declared license to include Artistic-1.0-Perl, ensuring alignment with licensing conventions and downstream tooling requirements. Utilized YAML for precise data curation and license management, removing unnecessary parentheses and correcting spacing to enhance machine readability. The changes, implemented through two targeted commits, contributed to higher data quality and improved license compliance readiness. This work supported more reliable license scanning and governance processes by standardizing metadata and refining the curated-data repository’s structure.
