Developed a gRPC Client Logging Interceptor for the qor5/x repository, focusing on enhancing observability within distributed systems. The solution integrated log tracing directly into the gRPC connection setup by implementing a unary client interceptor, allowing for improved monitoring and debugging of gRPC calls. Using Go and leveraging gRPC’s extensibility, the interceptor provided detailed logging at the client level, which laid the groundwork for faster issue diagnosis and more reliable service communication. The work demonstrated proficiency in Go, logging, and gRPC, and contributed to a more robust tracing and monitoring infrastructure without introducing new bugs during the development period.
