Developed and delivered Helm OCI registry self-signed CA support for the k0sproject/k0s repository, enabling secure installation of Helm extensions from OCI registries that use self-signed certificates. This work allowed users to specify a custom CA certificate file for OCI registries, improving both security and interoperability during Helm extension deployments. The implementation focused on enhancing TLS handling for OCI transport, reducing setup friction and expanding compatibility with a wider range of registries. The feature was built using Go and leveraged expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and OCI registry integration, demonstrating a strong understanding of secure certificate management and extension workflows.
