During December 2024, Byandell focused on enhancing repository hygiene and documentation for the earthlab-education/Earth-Analytics-AY24 project. Byandell introduced a .keep file to ensure Git tracked empty directories, supporting consistent project structure. The work centered on consolidating and updating Markdown documentation, including the creation of central reference files for Yandell projects and correcting internal hyperlinks to improve navigation. Using Git for version control and Markdown for documentation, Byandell prioritized maintainability and onboarding, enabling faster collaboration. While no bugs were fixed, the depth of work lay in improving documentation quality and repository organization, resulting in a more accessible and reliable codebase.
