Worked on enabling WebRTC support in the facebook/fbthrift repository by upgrading the Rust cryptography library ring from version 0.16.20 to 0.17.14. Focused on dependency management, the approach involved updating the fixups.toml configuration to maintain compatibility with the new ring version, ensuring a smooth transition for future WebRTC features. All changes were consolidated into a single commit, reflecting a targeted and stable engineering process. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as efforts were concentrated on forward-looking feature enablement. The work demonstrated proficiency in Rust and careful handling of build and configuration updates for evolving project requirements.
