Worked on the facebookexperimental/triton repository to stabilize debug information handling within the LLVMDILocalVariable pass, focusing on compiler reliability and debugging efficiency. Addressed a critical crash by refining the extraction of DI local variables, ensuring correct management of CallSiteLoc and NameLoc, and resolving issues with lexical block and retained node scoping. These changes preserved debug data integrity across translation, reducing assertion failures and supporting more reliable debugging workflows. Integrated and documented a backport to maintain consistency across branches. The work leveraged expertise in LLVM, compiler development, and debugging, with core implementation in C++ and MLIR to enhance translation robustness.
