During October 2025, Cakn worked on the equinor/design-system repository, focusing on aligning the EDS Demo UI with Figma design specifications. They refactored the eds-demo package’s styling, synchronizing colors, hover effects, border thickness, and element positioning for core components such as buttons, text inputs, and data tables. Using CSS, TypeScript, and React, Cakn implemented design tokens and component-level refactoring to achieve visual consistency and reduce UI drift. This work improved adherence to design specs and streamlined the design-to-development handoff process. The depth of the contribution lay in meticulous UI/UX alignment, enabling faster and more reliable iterations across the design system.
