During July 2025, Callmehiphop focused on improving the Fastify repository by addressing a documentation-driven bug related to the preParsing hook. By updating the Markdown-based documentation to accurately include the payload parameter in the hook’s signature, Callmehiphop ensured that the docs reflected the actual API surface, reducing confusion for developers and streamlining onboarding. This work required careful attention to detail and a strong understanding of both documentation practices and Fastify’s internal API. The contribution, while limited in scope, demonstrated disciplined maintenance of core documentation and directly improved the developer experience by clarifying usage and reducing potential support queries.
