Worked on the nousresearch/hermes-agent repository to deliver a targeted improvement for Telegram notifications by implementing an 'important' mode within the Telegram platform adapter. This feature, developed using Python and leveraging skills in API integration and backend development, allows operators to suppress intermediate push notifications and receive alerts only for critical events such as approvals and final responses. The mode is configurable through both settings and environment variables, ensuring flexibility for different deployment environments. By isolating the change to Telegram and maintaining existing behavior for other platforms, the update reduced notification noise and helped operators maintain focus and improve response times.
