Developed and integrated the Gazelle Rust language plugin within the bazelbuild/bazel-central-registry repository, expanding Bazel’s multi-language build support. Focused on enabling Rust project onboarding, the work involved implementing new dependencies and configuration scaffolding to support seamless Rust integration with Gazelle. Addressed deterministic build requirements by applying a patch to lockfile behavior, ensuring stable and reproducible Rust builds. Leveraged expertise in Bazel, Rust, and dependency management to lay a robust foundation for future language integrations in the central registry. This contribution enhanced Bazel’s capabilities for Rust projects and aligned with broader strategies for supporting diverse language ecosystems in build automation.
