During February 2025, Carnil contributed to the bpftrace/bpftrace repository by addressing a documentation inconsistency, focusing on improving the accuracy of onboarding materials. He identified and corrected a mismatch in the sample script filename within the manual, updating it from 'bsize.d' to 'bsize.bt' to reflect actual usage and repository conventions. This targeted fix, implemented using adoc and leveraging his documentation skills, enhanced the reliability of the project’s release notes and user guides. While the scope of work was limited to a single bug fix, Carnil’s attention to detail supported a smoother experience for new users adopting bpftrace features.
