During September 2025, Carrot Live expanded platform support and automation for the DragonOS-Community/DragonOS repository by delivering FreeBSD bootstrap integration and QEMU setup within the project’s shell-based tooling. Their work focused on refining the bootstrap.sh script to automate environment preparation, reducing manual steps and improving reproducibility for both local development and CI pipelines. Carrot enhanced Python package installation commands for greater reliability across diverse systems and updated DADK cargo installation to leverage the nightly toolchain, ensuring compatibility with evolving dependencies. Utilizing skills in build systems, shell scripting, and system administration, Carrot’s contributions deepened the project’s automation and cross-platform readiness.
