Worked on the longhorn/longhorn-manager repository to enhance node disk path validation within the manager webhook, focusing on backend development using Go and comprehensive unit testing. Addressed a critical bug by implementing deterministic validation logic that normalizes disk paths and aggregates duplicate entries, ensuring clearer error reporting and preventing misconfiguration across nodes. Expanded test coverage with synthetic disk paths and PCI BDF input to eliminate environment dependencies and reinforce robust webhook behavior. These improvements reduced operator triage time and mitigated outages caused by configuration duplicates, ultimately strengthening system reliability and scalability while aligning code quality with review feedback and best practices.
