During August 2025, work focused on enhancing pre-OS manageability within the NVIDIA/edk2-platforms repository by enabling KCS transport support in both the PEI and DXE phases. This involved developing a KCS transport interface in C and INF, allowing manageability features to be leveraged earlier in the boot process for improved hardware diagnostics and remote management. The implementation required a strong understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and UEFI architecture. By extending the KCS transport library to pre-OS environments, the work laid the groundwork for more robust system monitoring and control during the earliest stages of platform initialization.
