In August 2025, stabilized Nix installation for cisagov/LME on Debian/Ubuntu by migrating from apt-based install to the official Nix installer script, ensuring required dependencies (curl) are present, updating the LME version, and refining the upgrade workflow and burndown chart base image. This work reduces install fragility, improves reproducibility across environments, and enables smoother deployments.

Month: 2025-03 — cisagov/LME: Key delivery of a Docker-based testing environment with Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 support, enabling containerized LME testing. The work includes Docker installation capabilities for testing, configurations and scripts to manage Azure resources, Minimega clients, and Elastic Agent deployment, as well as refinement and expansion of tests to ensure functionality across diverse environments. No major bugs were recorded this month. Overall, this work accelerates CI, improves reproducibility, and expands cross-OS testing, delivering tangible business value by shortening feedback loops and stabilizing the testing pipeline. Technologies leveraged include Docker, Ubuntu 22.04/24.04, Azure resource management, Minimega, and Elastic Agent deployment.
