In November 2024, Chris Goodfellow developed a Masu endpoint for the project-koku/koku repository, enabling multi-cloud OpenShift processing for managed providers, including support for GCP. He designed and implemented a new Trino-based data processing task to facilitate scalable analytics across heterogeneous cloud environments, and updated database accessors to improve data retrieval reliability and performance. Using Python and leveraging skills in API development, backend development, and cloud computing, Chris also created targeted unit tests to validate the Masu workflow, increasing CI coverage. This work advanced multi-cloud analytics capabilities and streamlined provider onboarding, with a focus on robust, maintainable backend engineering.
