During a two-month engagement, Chaillet contributed to the WFP-VAM/prism-app repository by focusing on frontend reliability and maintainability. In February, Chaillet addressed a chart export filename bug, refactoring the naming logic in React and TypeScript to ensure exported files accurately reflected location data, which improved data traceability and reduced user confusion. The following month, Chaillet streamlined the project’s dependency management by removing unused frontend packages and updating documentation to reflect the elimination of Enzyme from testing dependencies. This work, primarily in JavaScript and TypeScript, resulted in a leaner codebase, faster install times, and reduced security risks from outdated packages.

March 2025 (WFP-VAM/prism-app): Focused on reducing the frontend dependency footprint to improve maintainability and security. Implemented removal of unused frontend dependencies and updated documentation to reflect Enzyme's removal from testing dependencies, resulting in a leaner, more maintainable codebase and faster installs. No critical bug fixes were recorded for prism-app this month; all work aimed at long-term reliability and performance.
