Chanakya Vemuri developed a display customization feature for the AvatarStack component in the primer/react repository, enabling both cascade and stack layouts with support for circle or square avatar shapes. Using React, TypeScript, and CSS, Chanakya introduced new variant and shape props, updating the component’s styling and internal logic to accommodate multiple display modes. This work improved design-system compliance and reduced the need for custom CSS in downstream components, streamlining UI consistency and developer workflows. The implementation was concise, with minimal API surface changes, reflecting a focused approach to enhancing flexibility while maintaining maintainability and alignment with broader design standards.
