During June 2025, Chase contributed to the jpmorganchase/salt-ds repository by addressing a critical rendering issue in the AppHeader component’s Storybook integration. By identifying and correcting missing closing parentheses in two style properties, Chase resolved a syntax error that previously disrupted visual previews. This fix stabilized the Storybook environment, reducing the risk of UI regressions and ensuring that component previews remained consistent with design tokens. Working primarily with JavaScript and TypeScript, and leveraging expertise in front-end development and Component Storybook, Chase’s focused bug fix improved the reliability of design-system validation workflows, though the scope of work was limited to maintenance.
