During June 2025, Chase contributed to the jpmorganchase/salt-ds repository by addressing a critical rendering issue in the AppHeader component’s Storybook integration. By identifying and correcting missing closing parentheses in two style properties, Chase resolved a syntax error that previously disrupted visual previews. This fix stabilized the Storybook environment, reducing the risk of UI regressions and ensuring consistent alignment with design tokens across the salt-ds design system. Working primarily with JavaScript and TypeScript, and leveraging expertise in front-end development and Component Storybook, Chase’s focused bug fix improved the reliability and efficiency of design-system validation and iteration for the team.
