During October 2024, Chelle Enlow focused on backend development and permissions management for the folio-org/mod-circulation repository, addressing a critical security issue. She delivered a targeted bug fix for MODCAL-136, correcting the permissions update logic to ensure reliable enforcement of access controls. Working in Java, Chelle analyzed the authorization flow and resolved a permissions-related error that previously risked unauthorized access within circulation operations. Although no new features were released, her work stabilized security-critical processes and improved the module’s overall reliability. The depth of her contribution is reflected in the careful correction of complex backend logic to enhance system security and integrity.
