Worked on the daytonaio/daytona repository to enhance the sandbox environment by introducing network diagnostics capabilities. Updated the sandbox Docker image to include iputils-ping and bind9-dnsutils, enabling in-sandbox network troubleshooting and validation. This addition allows developers to perform native network tests directly within the containerized environment, streamlining debugging and accelerating test cycles for network-related scenarios. Focused on containerization and DevOps practices, the work improved image maintainability and hygiene by ensuring essential utilities are present without unnecessary bloat. The changes laid the foundation for more robust network validation in CI pipelines, leveraging Dockerfile expertise to optimize the development workflow.
