Worked on the vitessio/vitess repository to enhance the reliability of the MoveTables command-line interface by addressing a bug related to the --on-ddl parameter. Focused on normalizing and uppercasing this parameter to resolve case-sensitivity issues, the work also included strengthening input validation to prevent misconfiguration. Comprehensive tests were added to cover both valid and invalid inputs, ensuring greater robustness for production environments. The engineering approach emphasized careful handling of user input and thorough testing practices. Go was used as the primary language, with a focus on command-line interface development and automated testing to improve overall system stability and usability.
