Sophia Chen enhanced the CsWinRT repository by developing improved diagnostics and error reporting for its source generator. She introduced a new diagnostic rule that detects generator failures and refactored the error handling logic to provide more specific, user-friendly messages during WinMD and projection generation. This work, implemented in C# and leveraging source generator and build tool expertise, aimed to clarify error origins and reduce debugging time for developers. Although the project scope was focused, Sophia’s contributions addressed a key pain point in resource management and error handling, resulting in a more transparent and efficient development experience for users of CsWinRT.
