Chen Yiyang completed a comprehensive Chinese Simplified localization update for the eclipse-sumo/sumo repository, focusing on Python tools, the main application, GUI, and Netedit components. Using Weblate, Chen managed string updates and translation completion, ensuring consistency and clarity across all user-facing elements. The work leveraged skills in localization and translation, specifically working with PO files to enhance accessibility for Chinese-speaking users. While no bugs were addressed during this period, Chen established a maintainable workflow for ongoing localization updates. This effort broadened the project’s reach and laid a technical foundation for future internationalization and translation maintenance within the SUMO stack.
