Worked on stabilizing backend reliability for the dataelement/bisheng repository by addressing a persistent Nginx configuration issue. Focused on DevOps and Nginx configuration skills, the developer removed a hardcoded internal upstream address that had caused intermittent 502 errors and disrupted backend resolution in self-hosted Docker Compose environments. This fix restored proper functionality to core API endpoints, including login and registration visibility, and improved the reliability of self-deployed instances. By aligning the Nginx upstream configuration with Docker Compose service discovery, the work reduced fail_timeout-related outages and enhanced collaboration signals, resulting in a more robust and maintainable deployment process.
