Worked on the awslabs/llrt repository to deliver feature parity and reliability improvements across networking, encoding, and internationalization. Developed UDP datagram socket support using Node.js and Rust, enabling AWS package compatibility and robust IPv4/IPv6 handling with extensive test coverage. Enhanced Web API and Crypto objects by adding Symbol.toStringTag for improved type detection and debugging. Implemented lightweight timezone formatting with native conversions and support for 31 locales, reducing polyfill requirements. Addressed Latin-1 encoding in atob and btoa to resolve JWT verification issues. Focused on cross-platform stability, asynchronous programming, and idiomatic Rust refactoring to optimize performance and maintainability.
December 2025: LLRT delivered feature parity and reliability improvements across UDP sockets, Web API/Crypto tagging, timezone formatting, and encoding, while hardening tests and cross-platform behavior. These changes reduce integration friction for AWS packages, improve reliability in CI environments, and broaden locale support for date/time formatting.
