Over a three-month period, contributed to hackclub/OnBoard by designing and delivering five hardware features, including the Lipoboard and Icepi Zero platforms. Focused on hardware prototyping workflows, this work established reusable component libraries and structured KiCad projects to accelerate iteration and validation. Developed comprehensive PCB layouts and schematics for USB-C, FPGAs, SDRAM, and supporting components, ensuring assets were version-controlled and well-documented for rapid prototyping and future expansion. Leveraged skills in hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB layout using KiCad, with an emphasis on clear documentation and asset packaging to support open hardware sharing and scalable development processes. No bugs were reported.
May 2025: Delivered the Icepi Zero hardware platform design for OnBoard, establishing a foundational hardware architecture for the product line. The key deliverable is the end-to-end schematic and PCB layout for USB-C, LEDs, power rails (resistors, capacitors), ECP5 FPGA, SDRAM, flash memory, and oscillator, including precise placement and interconnections on the PCB. This work enables rapid prototyping, hardware validation, and planned firmware/FPGA integration. The effort is tracked under a single commit adding Icepi Zero (#1744). No explicit bug fixes documented this month; focus was on hardware design delivery and project readiness.

April 2025 monthly summary for hackclub/OnBoard. Focused on hardware prototyping readiness and asset packaging. Delivered three initial hardware projects with comprehensive assets (README, PCB layout, schematic, gerber/binary files), established KiCad project scaffolding and part libraries, and documented design considerations in project READMEs. These assets enable rapid prototyping, open hardware sharing, and scalable workflows for future iterations. No explicit bug fixes were documented in this scope; emphasis was on delivering complete hardware artifacts and clear documentation to support business and technical goals.
