Chien-Chi contributed to the microbiomedata/nmdc_automation repository by upgrading the MetaMAGs dependency to version 1.3.13 within the workflows.yaml configuration. Focusing on configuration management using YAML, Chien-Chi ensured that the pipeline now benefits from upstream bug fixes and new features, directly improving the reliability and reproducibility of automated analyses. The work was delivered as a single, traceable commit, supporting governance and rollback requirements. By aligning the workflow with the latest ecosystem improvements, Chien-Chi’s update reduced downstream workflow failures and enhanced compatibility, demonstrating a methodical approach to dependency management and a clear understanding of workflow stability in scientific automation.
