Worked on the NixOS/nixos-search repository to deliver a robust expired-channel handling feature, redirecting users to a default channel instead of presenting an error when a channel is no longer available. This solution involved updating the backend model in Elm to track redirected channels, enabling telemetry and supporting future analytics. The frontend was enhanced to clearly inform users about the redirection, improving overall user experience and reducing potential support requests. The work was fully integrated and validated with continuous integration coverage, demonstrating a focus on end-to-end reliability. Core skills applied included Elm and front end development within a collaborative workflow.
