Worked on the microsoft/vscode-pull-request-github repository to address permalink generation issues when copying GitHub URLs under custom SSH configurations. Focused on enhancing SSH URL parsing and upstream origin detection, the solution enabled accurate handling of enterprise and non-standard hostnames beyond the default git@github.com. This fix improved the reliability of permalinks for developers collaborating across GitHub Enterprise deployments, ensuring shared links functioned correctly regardless of SSH host variations. The work was implemented using TypeScript and leveraged skills in Git and the GitHub API, demonstrating a targeted approach to resolving a nuanced bug affecting cross-environment collaboration and workflow consistency for development teams.
