During October 2025, Christoph Richter developed a flexible byte formatting feature for the perses/perses repository, enabling accurate representation of data sizes using both SI (base-1000) and IEC (base-1024) units. He implemented this enhancement across CUE, Go, and TypeScript components, ensuring consistent handling and display of byte values in all affected areas. Christoph’s work required backend and frontend development skills, as well as expertise in data formatting and unit conversion. By delivering a cross-language solution, he improved the accuracy and flexibility of data size representation, addressing a nuanced technical challenge and enhancing the repository’s overall data handling capabilities.
