Worked on the swt-initiative31/prototype-skija repository to deliver a targeted feature enhancing user experience in GTK environments. Developed and integrated a new SWT style constant, NO_SEARCH, using Java and expertise in GUI development with GTK and SWT. This addition allows developers to suppress the interactive search dialog typically triggered by Ctrl+F in List, Table, and Tree widgets, addressing the need for smoother keyboard-driven workflows in specialized shells and embedded contexts. The implementation focused on providing an opt-out mechanism for search popups, improving compatibility and user control while establishing a clear API surface for future extensions related to search behavior.
