Christoph Fritz developed Prometheus-based observability enhancements for the EOEPCA/eoepca-plus repository, focusing on comprehensive monitoring for APISIX endpoints. He implemented metrics collection across all routes by introducing a GlobalRule in kustomization.yaml and exposed the Prometheus endpoint through values.yaml configuration. Using DevOps practices and Kubernetes, Christoph enabled end-to-end metrics visibility, supporting SLA monitoring and proactive incident response. The work was delivered entirely in YAML, reflecting a deep integration with Kubernetes-native tooling. Although no bugs were addressed during this period, the feature provided operators with improved observability and operability, laying the groundwork for data-driven capacity planning and faster issue detection.
