During November 2024, Chun-Awa developed backend features for the Moonlark repository, focusing on data privacy, scalability, and maintainability. They implemented Wakatime integration by designing a new user token storage table and later streamlined configuration by migrating settings into a centralized user data config. Using Python, Alembic, and SQLAlchemy, Chun-Awa managed database migrations and versioning to support these changes, ensuring smooth deployment and future extensibility. Additionally, they enhanced localization infrastructure by adding language display settings and a language key cache, while removing deprecated tables. Their work emphasized technical debt reduction and robust database management without introducing public-facing bugs.
