Worked on streamlining the bootstrapping process for virt-tools within the avocado-framework/avocado-vt repository by removing virt-manager as a mandatory dependency. This change reduced the overall dependency surface area, resulting in faster environment provisioning and a simpler setup process for both CI and local development. The approach maintained compatibility with existing virt-tools test cases, ensuring test coverage was not impacted. Leveraged skills in DevOps and system administration, with Python as the primary language, to deliver incremental improvements focused on dependency management. The work enhanced CI throughput and improved the onboarding experience for developers by making the setup process more efficient.
