Worked on the topoteretes/cognee repository to enhance cross-backend edge handling and entity consolidation for graph databases. Developed a feature enabling edge format compatibility between Neo4j and Kuzu by introducing runtime detection of edge tuple formats, which prevents KeyErrors during consolidation. Implemented explicit handling for EdgeData 4-tuples, including validation to guard against malformed edges, thereby improving the robustness of the memify workflow. Incorporated feedback from code reviews to ensure type consistency, particularly by casting target identifiers and relationship names to strings. Utilized Python for data processing, error handling, and graph database integration, focusing on reliability across multiple backend systems.
